Defending Rights, Upholding Justice
Established in the late 1970s in Fort Worth, Texas, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCCDLA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting criminal defense attorneys in Tarrant County. Our mission is to promote superior representation for individuals accused of criminal offenses, foster goodwill within the community, and educate the public about the defense of individuals charged with crimes.

William Biggs, President

Harmony Schuerman, Vice President
A Fort Worth native and passionate advocate, Harmony opened her own firm straight out of law school. She’s known for her tenacity, community roots, and tireless defense of the accused.

Andrew Decker, Vice President
Serving clients across North Texas, Andrew combines courtroom poise with deep conviction. His background in public speaking informs his confident, client-centered trial advocacy.

Myra McCluer Gildner, Secretary
With 120+ jury trials under her belt as a former prosecutor, Cami now brings her insight and calm authority to the defense side—guiding clients with experience and empathy.

Marissa Matthews, Operations
A rising voice in Texas criminal defense, Marissa blends sharp legal skills with a modern approach to advocacy. She is a Super Lawyers Rising Star and active legal community leader.
